A Personalized Approach to Your Project

The Ultimate Building Experience means more than just providing a quality product. Where the competitor’s highest level of customer service ends is where ours begins. See below for our proven process that will help seamlessly bring your project vision to reality.

Pre-Construction Process

Initial Contact: Pre-Qualification Phone Call (~15 minutes)

Hello! Welcome! Nice to meet you! Our office manager will discuss the rough details of your project to ensure that we are fit to be your builder. An onsite estimate will then be scheduled and we ask that you send over all relevant photographs, inspiration ideas, plans, designs, and layouts prior to our arrival.

Onsite Estimate: Meet with our Estimator (~1 hour)

The estimator will arrive onsite on the scheduled date and time to walk through each aspect of your project. Please have all details and questions ready beforehand, as well as a rough idea of what your budget will be.

Proposal: Review & Sign (~2 weeks)

About (2) weeks after the onsite consult, the estimator will send an initial proposal through JobTread for you to review. Any clarifications, questions, or edits can then be sent back through the JobTread messaging software directly to the estimator.

Discovery Phase: Design & Development (~6-12 weeks)

Once signed, work will begin to qualify the preliminary budget specified in the proposal. This includes:

  • Pre-construction site meeting with the project management team to discuss the scope of work, note field measurements, take detailed pictures, and specify locations for site mobilization.
  • Onsite meetings with our Trade Partners to review the details of specialty work such as electrical, plumbing, & HVAC. Specific quotes will be presented to finalize the budget.
  • Collaboration with local building officials, historical societies, and engineers to obtain permits and ensure code compliance.
  • Creation of construction plans and layouts, with onsite visits by our designer as needed. (2) major revisions to the layout are also included.
  • Our Job Coordinator will guide you through the selections process, narrowing down the final detailed finishes for the project and balancing those costs against the allowances provided in the proposal.
  • Final locations for all electrical, plumbing, and HVAC fixtures will be determined.
  • A final contract will be presented based on the information and details captured during the Discovery Phase. This will include the payment structure for the project as well as any special order deposits that may be required. A rough timeline and start date for the project will also be provided.

Construction Process

Welcome to the Team: JobTread Setup (~1 hour)

We ask that you come in for a brief meeting to familiarize yourself with the JobTread project management software. During this, you will be provided with unique login credentials that will allow you to access the project schedule, pictures, documents, messages, and daily logs.

Construction Prep: Material Procurement (~1-8+ weeks; heavily dependent on the product being ordered)

Once the final contract is signed and all required deposits have been received, the materials for the project will be ordered. The start date for the project will be determined by the items with the longest lead times as well as the backlog of projects currently in production.

Project Launch: Site Mobilization & Demo (~1-3 days)

Care will be taken to ensure that the interior and exterior of the home are not damaged during construction, with site protection installed as needed. This includes but is not limited to: floor protection, stair protection, carpet shield, plastic walls, and zip doors. A small list of recommendations will also be provided, detailing any prep work that will need to be completed by the homeowner prior to our arrival. A dumpster, porta-potty, and materials will be delivered to the project site. Demolition of the existing project areas will take place according to the plans and established scope of work.

Construction: Project Liftoff

Our field crews will execute the project scope in accordance with the plans. The actual building process takes anywhere from 1 day to over 1 year to complete and is heavily dependent on the scope of work being executed. Daily updates and pictures will be provided through Daily Logs, which are viewable in JobTread. The project area will be cleaned and organized at the end of each work day, to include installing any temporary barriers or markers to ensure safety onsite when our crews are not present.

Winding Down: Punch List & Cleanup (~1-3 days)

The last remaining punch list items will be completed by our field crew and a thorough cleanup performed, ensuring all affected areas are as clean as when we first arrived onsite.

Completion: Final Walkthrough (~30 minutes)

After all finishing touches have been completed, a walkthrough will be conducted with the project management team to ensure that you are happy with the final product.

Peace of Mind: Warranty (12 months)

Our work is warrantied for a period of (1) year, beginning once the final walkthrough has been completed. During this time, we will return to handle any issues or product deficiencies at no cost to the homeowner.
